Need For Speed
The season has kick off with Match week 14. There was no unexpected wins or loss for me, as the ones who look promising on paper won their games. There was many teams with New Players and most of them look that they have adapted to their teams but maybe not to the League game.
Saw one Match where could see the foreign players "suffering" to adapt to the league game. Match intensity was as normal as how it has always been. I realize after joining the National team for three years that we lack the intensity in our local league compared to the pace of National standards which is why we get hurt after 70min.
How can we improve the intensity in our local league?
Foreign players do play a part to improve the pace but locals must step up to play a bigger role.
Coaches?
Yes, training session and drills must be exercise with a holistic approach. It must be physical(challenging and being game related), Mentally(decision making and problem solving), emotionally(fighting spirit and team work). When all this is in involved we help players to think and make decision which helps them in game. I feel its pointless to shout during game instruction for 90 min. If we educate them well in training to make decision and be responsible players and thus makes a responsible team. I have not been a head coach at a senior level so I keep this as my personal opinion and can be challenge. Tough but attainable I believe.
Players?
They first must take responsibility and take it as a professional job. They must take responsibility of their health and well being as they are being paid to perform their duties in training and in games.
Players now are well paid for the services (minus sometimes the delays at certain club, well that's a totally different topicπππ) so they must live up to the status and respect the people give them. ROLE MODELS!!
I plan to share what I have been doing during my time in the National team for reading interest and for discussion purpose. It will be in due time.
Till we meet again .........⚽⚽⚽
